CHARLOTTE, N.C. (theACC.com) – Virginia’s Gable Porter was named the Atlantic Coast Conference Wrestler of the Week for competition in Week 10 of the 2025-26 season, it was announced on Tuesday.
 
The honor marks the second ACC weekly award of the season for the junior from Council Bluffs, Iowa.

Gable Porter, Jr., 141 pounds, Virginia (Council Bluffs, Iowa)

• Earned his first career win over a top-10 opponent, defeating No. 8 Ryan Jack, 4-2, in Virginia’s ACC opening dual at No. 9 NC State on Friday, January 9.
• The victory marked Virginia’s third consecutive win in the dual and gave the Cavaliers a 10-0 lead over the nationally ranked Wolfpack to start the match.
• With his win, Porter improved to 17-4 overall on the season and 7-1 in dual competition.
