Duke’s Cameron Boozer Sweeps ACC Men’s Basketball Weekly Honors

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (theACC.com) – Duke freshman forward Cameron Boozer swept the Atlantic Coast Conference Men’s Basketball Player and Rookie of the Week honors for games played from January 12-18, as announced Monday.
 
Boozer earned his third straight and seventh ACC Rookie of the Week honor of the season. He claimed Player of the Week honors for the fourth time this season.
 
ACC men’s basketball weekly honors are nominated by the respective schools and determined by a vote of an 18-member media panel.
 
Cameron Boozer, Fr., F, Duke (Miami, Florida)
• Boozer posted a pair of double-doubles in ACC road wins over California and Stanford.
• He averaged 25.5 points, 13.5 rebounds, 3.5 assists and 2.0 steals, while shooting 63.6% from the field.
• In the 71-56 victory at California, he finished with 21 points, 13 rebounds and three assists.
• In an 80-50 win at Stanford, he amassed 30 points, 14 boards, four assists, four steals and a blocked shot, shooting 12-of-17 from the field, including 2-of-3 from behind the arc.
