This Week in ACC Cross Country

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (theACC.com) – The second weekend in October sees six Atlantic Coast Conference teams competing across four meets on Friday, October 9, highlighted by the Nuttycombe Invitational. Florida State will be the only ACC team to compete in multiple meets this weekend.

The Nuttycombe Invitational in Madison, Wisconsin, continues to be one of the premier meets throughout the nation. A total of 39 ranked teams will be in action in Wisconsin for this year's Nuttycombe. There will be 21 ranked men's teams and 18 ranked women’s teams competing in Madison. From the ACC, Florida State, Louisville, Stanford and Wake Forest will head to The Badger State for the high-level meet, which kicks off Friday morning with the women’s “A” 6k race at 11:30 a.m. ET, followed by the men’s “A” 8k race at 12:10 p.m. ET.

In addition to competing in the Nuttycombe, Florida State will host the FSU Cross Country Invite in Tallahassee, Florida. The Seminoles’ home course hosted the World Athletics Cross Country Championships in 2025 and will host its second collegiate meet of the fall this weekend. The action gets underway Friday with the men’s 8k at 7:40 a.m. ET, followed by the women’s 6k at 8:20 a.m. ET.

California will head to Eugene, Oregon, also known as “TrackTown, USA”, to compete in the Bill Dellinger Invitational. Named after three-time Olympian and legendary Oregon track & field coach Bill Dellinger, the event will take place at Pine Ridge Golf Club over two relatively flat loops. The men’s 8k will begin the action on Friday at 2:15 p.m. ET, while the women’s 6k will follow at 3 p.m. ET. All of the action from Eugene will be streamed on Big Ten Plus.

Boston College is set to travel to Hopkinton, New Hampshire, for the NEICAAA New England Cross Country Championships on Friday. The Eagles will open Friday’s action with the women’s 6k at 2 p.m. ET, followed by the men’s 8k at 2:45 p.m. ET.
