CHARLOTTE, N.C. (theACC.com) – Stanford’s Slava Shahbazyan was named the Atlantic Coast Conference Wrestler of the Week for competition in Week 1 of the 2026-27 season, it was announced on Tuesday.

Slava Shahbazyan, Fr., 184 pounds, Stanford (Los Angeles, California)

• Went 5-0 in his Stanford debut to win the 184-pound title at the Princeton Open.
• Three of his five wins came by bonus points, including one technical fall win and two major decision victories.
• Knocked off No. 13 Ryan Rogers of Lehigh with a 9-6 decision in the finals.
• Outscored his opponents 65-22 en route to the individual title.
