CHARLOTTE, N.C. (theACC.com) – All 16 ACC Baseball programs are set to begin their 2026 seasons on Friday, February 14, in a flurry of non-conference games.
Georgia Tech, the preseason ACC favorite, headlines a contingent of eight ranked teams throughout the ACC. The Yellow Jackets begin the season at No. 5 in the D1Baseball poll, and are joined by No. 8 Louisville, No. 11 North Carolina, No. 16 Florida State, No. 17 NC State, No. 19 Clemson, No. 21 Wake Forest and No. 22 Miami.
A trio of ACC teams – Boston College, NC State and Wake Forest – will head to Puerto Rico for the Puerto Rico Challenge. The Eagles, Demon Deacons and Wolfpack will compete in an eight-team field that also includes Houston, Indiana State, Manhattan, Seton Hall and Washington. The Demon Deacons will open the 2026 ACC slate at 9:30 a.m. ET on Friday, with each of the games from the Puerto Rico Challenge streaming live on Victory+.
Pitt and Stanford will also play at neutral sites for the opening weekend of the season. Pitt heads to Port Charlotte, Florida, for a three-game set against Western Michigan. Stanford will head to Surprise, Arizona, for three games, highlighted by a pair of games against ranked opponents. The Cardinal open the season on Friday night against No. 24 Arizona (8 p.m. ET), before meeting No. 12 Oregon State on Sunday afternoon (2 p.m. ET). Stanford will conclude opening weekend on Monday afternoon against Nebraska at 3 p.m. ET in Scottsdale, Arizona.
In addition to the five teams playing neutral-site contests, 10 teams throughout the ACC will be playing home games to open the season. Clemson, Duke, Florida State, Georgia Tech, Louisville, Miami, North Carolina, Virginia and Virginia Tech will each play host throughout the entire weekend, while California will play a pair of home games and a pair of road games, each of which will be against Santa Clara.
Notre Dame will be the lone ACC squad to open the season with a true road contest, heading to Boca Raton, Florida, for three games against FAU.

- At least one ACC team has reached the Men’s College World Series each of the previous 19 years in which it has been held, and multiple ACC teams reached the MCWS 11 times during that span. The ACC has placed a total of 36 teams in the past 19 Men’s College World Series, an average of just under two per season.
- Eight ACC baseball teams are ranked in the D1Baseball Preseason Poll. Georgia Tech leads the way at No. 5, followed by No. 8 Louisville, No. 11 North Carolina, No. 16 Florida State, No. 17 NC State, No. 19 Clemson, No. 21 Wake Forest and No. 22 Miami.
- A total of 29 ACC student-athletes garnered Preseason All-America honors ahead of the 2026 season.
- A total of 61 ACC student-athletes were selected in the 2025 Major League Baseball Draft. Florida State led the ACC with 11 total picks, followed by Virginia and Wake Forest, who each had six players selected. Florida State’s 11 players selected were tied for the most of any school nationally.
- 2025 marked the 34th consecutive year that at least one ACC player has been selected in the opening round of the MLB Draft and the 10th straight year that the ACC has placed at least one draftee among the top 15 picks.
- The 2026 ACC Baseball Championship returns to Truist Field in Charlotte, North Carolina, from May 19-24. It marks the fourth time in six years that Truist Field, the home of the Charlotte Knights, Triple-A affiliate of the Chicago White Sox, will host the ACC Baseball Championship.
