CHARLOTTE, N.C. (theACC.com) – Syracuse senior attackman Joey Spallina earned Atlantic Coast Conference Men’s Lacrosse Offensive Player of the Week honors for the second straight week, while Orange senior defenseman Riley Figueiras picked up ACC Defensive Player of the Week for games played from February 9-15.
All five ACC teams are ranked in the latest USILA Coaches poll, highlighted by Syracuse taking over the No. 1 spot following its victory over then-No. 1 Maryland on Friday. North Carolina is No. 5, Duke is No. 7, Notre Dame is No. 8 and Virginia is No. 17.
OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF WEEK – Joey Spallina, Sr., A, Syracuse (Mount Sinai, New York)
• Posted four goals for his third hat trick of the 2026 season as Syracuse topped then-No. 1 Maryland on Friday, February 13.
• Scored his four goals on nine total shots.
• Added a career-best tying five ground balls as well, all while mostly covered by Will Schaller, one of the top cover defensemen in Division I.

• Was an eraser on Friday, limiting Leo Johnson to just two goals, a week after the fifth-year Terrapin racked up five goals and an assist against Loyola.
