ATLANTA, Ga. (theACC.com) - Day four of the 2026 Atlantic Coast Conference Swimming & Diving Championships concluded in Atlanta, Georgia, at the McAuley Aquatic Center on Wednesday, February 18. After day four, Virginia took the lead on the women’s side with 497 points, and California took the lead on the men’s with 459.
Virginia claimed its seventh straight ACC title in the 200 free relay, clocking a time of 1:23.75 from the squad of Bryn Greenwaldt, Claire Curzan, Anna Moesch and Sara Curtis. NC State broke both a meet and conference record in the men’s 200 free relay, finishing in first for the fourth straight year with a time of 1:14.02 from the team of Jerry Fox, Quintin McCarty, Drew Salls and Kaii Winkler. Both the meet and conference record were set in 2025.
Virginia’s Katie Grimes repeated as the women’s 500 free champion with a time of 4:33.78, while State’s Max Carlsen finished first in the men’s 500 free with a time of 4:09.44 to collect his first ever individual ACC title.
Stanford’s Torri Huske swam a 1.51.27 to defend her ACC Women’s 200 IM title, improving 0.19 seconds from 2025 to set the top time in the NCAA this season. Louisville’s Anastasia Gorbenko came in second at 1:51.30, while California’s Mia West rounded out the top three finishers with a time of 1:52.30.
NC State’s Arsenio Bustos swam a time of 1.40.39, reclaiming the men’s 200 IM title that he won back-to-back in 2023 (1:40.31) and 2024 (1:40.75). Virginia’s Max Williamson finished second with a time of 1:40.78, while North Carolina’s Louis Dramm finished third with a time of 1:41.40.
Virginia’s Sara Curtis earned her first individual ACC title, winning the women’s 50 free with a time of 21.09, while NC State’s Quintin McCarty defended his 2025 men’s 50 free title, clocking an identical time of 18.63.
The top three finishers in each event, plus all members of the first-place relay teams at the ACC Championships, will be named to the All-ACC Team.
