BOSTON, Mass. (theACC.com) – After two days of fierce competition, the Notre Dame women and Virginia men lead the 2026 Atlantic Coast Conference Indoor Track & Field Championships in Boston, Massachusetts.
The Fighting Irish women have logged 29 points, holding a slight advantage over second-place Virginia with 27 points, while Miami and Stanford are tied for third with 26 points each. On the men’s side, Virginia’s 48 points lead the way, followed by second-place Louisville with 31 points and third-place North Carolina with 28.5.
After finishing first or second in five of the seven events of the men’s heptathlon, Miami’s Edgar Campre won the gold medal with a season-best 5,852 points. Virginia Tech’s Nathaniel Paris finished just 31 points behind Campre for a second-place finish, while Max Stakun-Pickering of North Carolina logged 5,666 points to finish third.
On his sixth and final jump, NC State’s Tyson Adams posted a mark of 7.67 meters (25-2) to win the men’s long jump. The Wolfpack sophomore defended his long jump title from 2025, soaring past Louisville’s Miller Jones, who finished second with a mark of 7.61 meters (24-11.75). Florida State’s Justin Woulard took third with a 7.41-meter (24-3.75) leap.
Stanford’s Alyssa Jones repeated as the ACC Champion in the women’s high jump, clearing a height of 1.86 meters (6-1.25). Jones held off strong efforts from Pitt’s Alesia Rengle (1.78m/5-10) and Georgia Tech’s Kendall Ward (1.75m/5-8.75), who finished second and third, respectively.
Jones also finished as the silver medalist in the women’s long jump, posting a jump of 6.38 meters (20-11.25). Louisville’s Synclair Savage won the gold medal with a mark of 6.40 meters (21-0) on her fifth jump of the evening. SMU’s Cleo Martin-Evans finished in third place with a jump of 6.18 meters (20-3.5).
The 2026 ACC Indoor Track & Field Championships will conclude on Saturday, February 28, from the TRACK at new balance. There will be a total of 21 championship events on Saturday, including 11 for the women and 10 for the men.
