CHARLOTTE, N.C. (theACC.com) - In the seventh set of weekly honors for the 2026 Atlantic Coast Conference Softball season, Florida State’s Shelby McKenzie was named the ACC Player of the Week, while Clemson’s Sierra Maness and Virginia Tech’s Emma Mazzarone shared ACC Pitcher of the Week honors. Virginia Tech’s Bree Carrico was named the ACC Freshman of the Week.
                                          
ACC Player of the Week
Shelby McKenzie, Florida State, So. (Pace, Florida)

• Led the Seminoles with a .857 batting average (6-for-7), two home runs and seven RBI. 
• Had her first multi-home run game against California on Friday, March 20. 
• Recorded multiple hits in all three games against the Golden Bears. 
• Is on a six-game hitting streak.

 
ACC Co-Pitcher of the Week
Sierra Maness, Clemson, Jr. (Woodruff, South Carolina)

• Notched three victories on the week, including both games to take the series win at Notre Dame.
• Clocked a 0.79 ERA with one shutout to help lead Clemson to an ACC-high 10 shutouts on the season.
• Pitched 17.2 innings, allowing just two earned runs.
• Struck out 12 while allowing only eight hits, none for extra bases, and giving up only three walks to hold opponents to a .133 average.

 
ACC Co-Pitcher of the Week
Emma Mazzarone, Virginia Tech, Jr. (Pleasant Garden, North Carolina

• Posted a 0.00 ERA over 11.0 innings pitched.
• Finished the week with a team-high 17 strikeouts.
• Threw a complete-game shutout with eight strikeouts in Friday's 10-0 win over the Wolfpack.

ACC Freshman of the Week
Bree Carrico, Virginia Tech, R-Fr. (Appomattox, Virginia)

• Finished the week 3-0 with 16 strikeouts and held opponents to a .029 average over 11.0 innings pitched.
• Recorded a career-high 10 strikeouts in just 4.0 innings pitched against Longwood, allowing no hits.
• Pitched 6.0 innings in Saturday’s win over NC State, allowing just one hit and striking out six.
