ACC Announces Women's Tennis Players of the Week

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (theACC.com) – In the seventh set of weekly honors for the 2025-26 Atlantic Coast Conference Women’s Tennis season, the NC State duo of Gabriella Broadfoot and Victori Osuigwe was named the ACC Doubles Team of the Week. Additionally, SMU’s Amelie Van Impe was named both the ACC Player of the Week and Freshman of the Week.
 
ACC WOMEN’S DOUBLES TEAM OF THE WEEK
Gabriella Broadfoot, NC State, Jr. (Johannesburg, South Africa)
Victoria Osuigwe, NC State, Fr. (Bradenton, Florida)
  • Won two doubles matches on the weekend to help lead NC State to wins over No. 7 California and No. 21 Stanford.
    • Defeated the California duo of Mao Mushika and Johanne Svendsen, 7-5.
    • Defeated the Stanford duo of Caroline Driscoll and Monika Ekstrand, 7-6 (0).
ACC WOMEN’S PLAYER & FRESHMAN OF THE WEEK
Amelie Van Impe, SMU, Fr. (Wichlen, Belgium)
  • Defeated the No. 1 singles player in the nation, North Carolina’s Reese Brantmeier, 6-1, 6-2.
  • Teamed up with Caroline McGinley to defeated Duke's tandem of No. 3 Liv Hovde and Shavit Kimchi, 6-3.
  • Helped defeat the North Carolina duo of Susanna Maltby and Maddy Zampardo, 6-2.
