2026 Standings
CHARLOTTE, N.C. (theACC.com) - The 2026 regular season for Atlantic Coast Conference Men's Lacrosse comes to a close this weekend with three games, including two league matchups that will determine the ACC regular-season championship.
Top-ranked Notre Dame entertains No. 5 Syracuse on Saturday, April 25, at noon ET on ACC Network Extra. No. 3 North Carolina plays host to No. 17 Duke on Saturday at noon ET on ESPNU.
The Fighting Irish, Tar Heels and Orange enter the weekend with matching 2-1 records in league play, and all three have a shot at either an outright or shared regular-season championship.
In non-conference play on Friday, April 24, No. 12 Virginia concludes its regular season at 2:30 p.m. ET at home against Drexel. ACC Network has the broadcast.
The 2026 ACC Men's Lacrosse Championship is slated for next weekend, with the semifinals on Friday, May 1, and the championship game on Sunday, May 3. ACC Network will broadcast the tournament from American Legion Memorial Stadium in Charlotte, North Carolina. The four participating teams are set with North Carolina, Notre Dame, Syracuse and Virginia.

Noting ACC Men's Lacrosse
• North Carolina junior attackman Owen Duffy claimed ACC Offensive Player of the Week honors, and Notre Dame senior goalie Thomas Ricciardelli earned Defensive Player of the Week recognition for games played from April 13-19.
• All five ACC teams are ranked in the latest USILA Coaches poll, with Notre Dame at No. 1, North Carolina at No. 3, Syracuse at No. 5, Virginia at No. 12 and Duke at No. 17.
• In the NCAA Division I Selection Committee's Top 10 reveal on Saturday, April 18, four ACC teams were among the top 10: No. 1 Notre Dame, No. 3 North Carolina, No. 4 Syracuse and No. 10 Virginia.
• In the latest RPI (through Wednesday games), all five ACC teams stand among the top 20: No. 1 Notre Dame, No. 2 North Carolina, No. 4 Syracuse, No. 9 Virginia and No. 16 Duke.
• ACC teams have combined to go 38-8 (82.6%) in non-conference play this season, which is by far the best mark of any conference.
• The five ACC programs each rank among the top 20 nationally in scoring offense this week: No. 3 Duke (14.6), No. 6 North Carolina (14.2), No. 8 Virginia (13.9), No. 12 Syracuse (13.2) and No. 20 Notre Dame (12.7).
• Four ACC teams are among the top 20 teams nationally in scoring defense: No. 3 Notre Dame (8.0/goals per game), No. 5 Duke (8.4), No. 12 UNC (9.4) and No. 16 Syracuse (9.8).
• Nine ACC players have been nominated for the 2026 Tewaaraton Award. That is the most of any conference.
• UNC's Brady Wambach ranks second nationally in face-off win percentage (.694) and first in ground balls per game (11.08).
• Duke's John Danowski (first, 492), ND's Kevin Corrigan (second, 379) and UNC's Joe Breschi (third, 272) own the most Division I wins among active D-I head coaches (minimum five years at D-I). Virginia's Lars Tiffany is seventh with 218. Danowski is the winningest Division I head coach all-time.
• Reigning ACC champion Syracuse was tabbed the ACC favorite in the Preseason ACC Coaches Poll. The Orange were followed by Notre Dame, North Carolina, Duke and Virginia, respectively.
• The University of Virginia will serve as the host of the 2026 NCAA Men’s Lacrosse Championships, which will be contested at Scott Stadium from May 23-25.
• The ACC owns 19 NCAA Championships, including four of the last six with Virginia in 2019 and 2021 and Notre Dame in 2023 and 2024.
• The five active ACC teams have combined for 27 national championships, including 11 of the last 17.
• Syracuse owns 10 NCAA titles (most of any NCAA program), while Virginia has won seven, UNC five, Duke three and Notre Dame two.
• Syracuse advanced to NCAA Championship Weekend last season for the first time since 2013 and its first time as a member of the ACC.
• At least one ACC team has advanced to the national semifinals in 50 of the 54 years in which the NCAA Tournament has been contested.
