Stanford’s Martín Sampedro Earns ACC Women’s Golfer of the Month Honors

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (theACC.com) – Stanford junior Paula Martín Sampedro has been named the Atlantic Coast Conference Women’s Golfer of the Month for April.

  • Won medalist honors by three shots at the 2026 ACC Women’s Golf Championship, finishing at 14-under (202).
  • Carded a first-round 64, tying the tournament’s single-round scoring record.
  • Clinched Stanford’s first-ever ACC women’s golf title with a 4&3 win against SMU in the match play final.
  • Made seven birdies in just 15 holes during the match play final.

  • Stanford won the 2026 ACC Women’s Golf Championship for the first time in program history, defeating SMU, 3-0, in the match play final.
  • The Selection Show for the 2026 NCAA Women’s Golf Championships is scheduled for Wednesday, April 29, at 5 p.m. ET.
  • Six ACC teams are in the latest Scoreboard Rankings (April 28): No. 1 Stanford, No. 9 Wake Forest, No. 10 Duke, No. 12 North Carolina, No. 21 SMU and No. 25 Florida State.
