CARLSBAD, Calif. (theACC.com) – With two victories on Tuesday, Stanford advanced to the match play final of the 2026 NCAA Women’s Golf Championship, at Omni La Costa Resort & Spa in Carlsbad, California.

Advancing to their third consecutive national championship match, the top-seeded Cardinal will face second-seeded USC on Wednesday, May 27, beginning at 6 p.m. ET on Golf Channel. It also marks the program’s sixth appearance in the match play final since the NCAA instituted the format in 2015. This is also the fifth consecutive season a current ACC member has advanced to the national championship match.

Stanford swept through its two opponents on the day, beginning with a 3-0 victory over eighth-seeded Pepperdine. The Cardinal continued their winning ways in the semifinals, defeating fifth-seeded Eastern Michigan, 3-0. In Stanford’s four postseason match-play contests this season, dating back to last month’s ACC Championship, the Cardinal have yet to drop a point.

Sophomores Meja Örtengren and Andrea Revuelta each tallied a pair of victories on the day, helping the Cardinal build 2-0 leads in both matches. ACC Women’s Golfer of the Year Paula Martín Sampedro clinched Stanford’s quarterfinal match with a 3&2 win, while teammate Megha Ganne secured a 4&3 victory in the win over Eastern Michigan. Kelly Xu saw both of her matches end unfinished.

Duke, the only other ACC team to advance to match play, fell to USC, 3-2, in its quarterfinal match. ACC Freshman of the Year Rianne Malixi and Katie Li earned wins in their respective matches.
