CHARLOTTE, N.C. (theACC.com) – Clemson’s Xander Sevian earned Atlantic Coast Conference Men’s Soccer Offensive Player of the Week honors, while California junior defender Beau Morrison claimed ACC Defensive Player of the Week laurels for matches played from August 20-23, as announced Tuesday.
Xander Sevian, So., F, Clemson (Boulder, Colorado)
• Scored two goals and added an assist in wins over No. 3 Furman and ETSU.
• Recorded his first career brace versus Furman.
• Netted his first career goal against the Paladins.
• Also contributed to another Clemson goal against Furman by drawing a penalty kick.
• Assisted Duncan Wilson’s goal against ETSU.
Beau Morrison, Jr., D, California (Sacramento, California)
• Was a critical piece on the back line as Golden Bears went on the road and shut out No. 6 Portland on Friday, August 21.
• Recorded a tremendous goal-line clearance to help keep the game scoreless.
• Shutout came against a team that scored over 40 goals during the 2025 season.
Men’s Soccer Notes
• ACC teams are 17-7-5 through the first five days of the regular season.
• That includes a 4-3-2 mark against ranked teams, including a pair of top-five wins (Clemson vs. No. 3 Furman, SMU at No. 4 Saint Louis).
