CHARLOTTE, N.C. (theACC.com) – NC State’s Jade Bordeleau and Virginia Tech’s Anna Weir were named the Atlantic Coast Conference Co-Offensive Players of the Week, while Stanford defender Sammy Smith was selected as the ACC Defensive Player of the Week for ACC Women’s Soccer. Clemson’s Nona Reason was named the ACC Goalkeeper of the Week, while Cardinal midfielder Sadie Leal-Schuman was named the ACC Freshman of the Week for matches played August 24-30.

CO-OFFENSIVE – Jade Bordeleau, Sr., F, NC State (Terrebonne, Quebec, Canada)

• Totaled nine points (four goals, one assist) in a pair of victories over High Point (3-0) and Davidson (6-1).
• Converted a penalty kick for the match’s first goal in Thursday’s victory at HPU.
• Recorded her second career hat trick and added an assist in a 6-1 rout of Davidson on Sunday.
• Currently tied for the ACC lead with eight goals on the season.

CO-OFFENSIVE – Anna Weir, Sr., F, Virginia Tech (Acworth, Georgia)

• Scored three goals and added an assist in wins over William & Mary (3-1) and No. 22 Georgetown (2-1).
• Tallied all three goals in Thursday’s 3-1 victory over the Tribe, becoming the 13th player in program history to notch a hat trick.
• Handed out the assist on Eliana Salama’s game-winning tally against the 22nd-ranked Hoyas.

DEFENSIVE – Sammy Smith, Jr., D, Stanford (Boise, Idaho)

• Played the full 180 minutes in a pair of shutout victories over No. 17 UCLA (3-0) and Cal State Fullerton (7-0).
• Helped limit the Bruins to just five shots, including two shots on goal, in Thursday’s clean sheet.
• Helped limit the Titans to just four shots on target in Sunday’s victory.
• Has started along the backline during each of Stanford’s program-record seven straight shutouts.

GOALKEEPER – Nona Reason, 5th, GK, Clemson (Noblesville, Indiana)

• Posted a clean sheet with three saves in a 1-0 victory at Arkansas.
• Stopped a penalty kick in the 62nd minute to maintain the shutout.
• The clean sheet marked just the fourth time in the last three season that Arkansas has been shut out at home.
• The shutout was her third of the season, the fourth-most in the ACC.

FRESHMAN – Sadie Leal-Schuman, Fr., M, Stanford (Orinda, California)

• Recorded a goal and three assists in wins over No. 17 UCLA (3-0) and Cal State Fullerton (7-0).
• Handed out assists on the first two goals against the Bruins on Thursday.
• Played the full 90 minutes against UCLA, helping Stanford its first win over the Bruins since 2022.
• Knocked in an Olimpico in the 30th minute for her first collegiate goal against Fullerton on Sunday.

Women’s Soccer Notes

• ACC teams have earned 62 victories through the young season, the most among all conferences.
• Entering the week, ACC teams have earned a result in six of their eight matchups against ranked opponents, posting a 4-2-2 (.625) record.
• ACC teams are 42-4-9 (.845) in home matches this season.
• The ACC is one of only two conferences with 200 or more goals this season, ranking second with 215 (SEC – 225).
