CHARLOTTE, N.C. (theACC.com) – Duke forward Katie Shea Collins was named the Atlantic Coast Conference Offensive Player of the Week, while Blue Devil senior Cameron Roller was selected as the ACC Defensive Player of the Week for ACC Women’s Soccer. Duke’s Molly Vapensky and Wake Forest’s Valentina Amaral were named the ACC Co-Goalkeepers of the Week, while Miami striker Vivien Muchuruza was named the ACC Freshman of the Week for matches played September 7–13.
OFFENSIVE – Katie Shea Collins, Jr., F, Duke (Gallatin, Tennessee)
- Scored a goal and added two assists in Duke’s 5-0 victory over No. 1 Stanford on Sunday.
- Recorded the match’s first goal in the 15th minute.
- Her assists came on the 36th and 52nd minutes to put the match out of reach.
- The goal extended her scoring streak to five consecutive contests.
DEFENSIVE – Cameron Roller, Sr., D, Duke (Sherman, Texas)
- Played the full 90 minutes in Sunday’s 5-0 win over No. 1 Stanford.
- Helped limit the Cardinal to just six shots on goal.
- Helped hand Stanford its first shutout loss since the 2025 national championship match.
- The clean sheet was Duke’s third of the season and first against a No. 1 team since 2021.
CO-GOALKEEPER – Molly Vapensky, So., GK, Duke (Evanston, Illinois)
- Posted five saves in Duke’s 5-0 victory over No. 1 Stanford.
- The shutout was the first of her collegiate career and helped secure Duke’s third all-time win over a top-ranked team.
- Four of her saves came in the second half to secure the shutout.
CO-GOALKEEPER – Valentina Amaral, Jr., GK, Wake Forest (Oviedo, Florida)
- Made three saves for her league-leading fifth clean sheet of the season in Saturday’s win over No. 10 Virginia.
- All three stops came in the second half.
- The victory marked her 30th between the posts for the Demon Deacons.
- The clean sheet was the 18th of her collegiate career.
FRESHMAN – Vivien Muchuruza, Fr., F, Miami (Orlando, Florida)
- Scored both goals in Miami’s 2-1 victory over SMU on Friday.
- Broke the scoreless deadlock in the 65th minute with her first collegiate goal.
- Converted a penalty kick in the 79th minute for the eventual game-winning goal.
- Became the first Hurricane with a multi-goal performance this season.
Women’s Soccer Notes
- The ACC’s 83 non-conference victories and .796 winning percentage are the best marks among all conferences.
- ACC teams have earned a result in 10 of their 12 matchups against ranked opponents, posting a 6-2-4 (.667) record.
- ACC teams are 51-5-16 (.819) in non-conference home matches this season.
