ACC Unveils 2026-27 Women’s Basketball Conference Schedule

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (theACC.com) – The Atlantic Coast Conference today announced its 2026-27 women’s basketball conference schedule. The ACC’s regular-season conference slate features 162 total games, with each team playing 18 games, beginning Sunday, November 29, and concluding Sunday, February 28.

“Season after season, ACC Women’s Basketball distinguishes itself through elite competition, exceptional coaches and remarkable student-athletes who excel on the national stage,” said ACC Commissioner Jim Phillips, Ph.D. “With another compelling conference schedule ahead and our historic 50th tournament being played in Charlotte, we look forward to a memorable season that showcases the very best of our league.”

The conference scheduling model was first introduced for the 2024-25 and 2025-26 seasons and remains in place for the 2026-27 and 2027-28 campaigns. The model includes:
  • Each team will play every league member at least once.
  • Every school is paired with a designated travel partner for a home-and-away series.
  • Home and away matchups flip annually.
  • ACC members travel to the Pacific Time Zone once every two seasons.

At the conclusion of the regular season, the 2027 Ally ACC Women’s Basketball Tournament returns to Charlotte, North Carolina, for the first time since 1999, when Independence Arena (now Bojangles Coliseum) hosted the event for three consecutive seasons. The league will celebrate its 50th ACC Tournament at Spectrum Center, marking the first time that the nation’s longest-running Division I women’s basketball conference tournament will be held in an NBA arena. Games will air on the ESPN family of networks, including ACC Network, throughout the week. Fans can sign up to directly receive information about this year’s tournament.

Conference play tips off on Sunday, November 29, when Virginia heads to SMU, beginning the stretch of 26 games before the calendar flips to 2027. The 2026 side ends with a full slate of nine games on New Year’s Eve highlighted by Duke visiting Virginia in a matchup between two teams that advanced to the Sweet 16 a season ago.

The conference schedule concludes on Sunday, February 28, with a lineup that includes three rivalry matchups to wrap up the regular season.

Game times and broadcast networks will be announced at a later date.

Four ACC teams enter the 2026-27 season ranked in ESPN’s Way-Too-Early Women’s Basketball Top 25, including three teams in the top 10 with Duke (No. 3), Louisville (No. 7) and North Carolina (No. 9). Notre Dame (No. 16) rounds out the ACC contingent. The ACC is coming off a season in which the league sent a conference-record nine teams to the NCAA Tournament, with five squads advanced to the Sweet 16, the most since 2015.

Current ACC member institutions have won six NCAA Championships, and 11 different ACC institutions have combined for 43 Final Four appearances. The ACC has sent 65 teams to the NCAA Tournament since 2018, the most of any conference. Last season, the ACC extended its streak to 24 consecutive seasons with at least one team in the Elite Eight, the longest active streak of any league.
