Andy Fledderjohann joined the ACC in 2019 as the Assistant Commissioner/Communications. In that role, he oversees communications for ACC men's basketball, men's and women's fencing, men's and women's lacrosse and men's soccer.
Prior to joining the conference office, Fledderjohann served as the Assistant Athletic Director for Communications & Content at Miami, where he was the media liaison for the Hurricanes’ men’s basketball program. He also managed a staff of four full-time employees and was the editor of UM’s football and men’s basketball yearbooks, as well as the department’s annual report. Fledderjohann also worked in the Virginia athletic department as an Assistant Media Relations Director, serving as the primary media contact for baseball and several Olympic sports and secondary contact for men’s basketball. He managed the publicity efforts during the Cavaliers' four trips to the College World Series, including the 2015 NCAA Championship.
A native of New Knoxville, Ohio, Fledderjohann earned his undergraduate degree from The Ohio State in 2002 and his master's in sport management from Marshall in 2007. He was a graduate assistant in the sports information office at Marshall and was a graphic designer at Ohio State.
