Brittany Holder serves as the Director of Legal & Business Affairs for the Atlantic Coast Conference.
Since joining the ACC in 2015 as a legal affairs intern, Holder has held various roles in business operations, administration and legal affairs.
In her current role, Holder advises the ACC on business, operational and strategic initiatives, including contractual matters, risk considerations, and compliance with the Conference’s rights and obligations. She oversees the ACC’s contract-management process; leads risk-management initiatives; and manages the Conference’s general and event insurance programs. Holder also assists the Chief Legal Officer and General Counsel with litigation and other legal matters involving the ACC and serves as a liaison to the university counsel offices of ACC member institutions.
Holder is a member of the North Carolina Bar Association’s Sports & Entertainment Law Section, Women Leaders in Sports, and Women in Sports & Entertainment.
Prior to joining the ACC, Holder served as a Compliance and Risk Management Intern with the University of North Carolina Athletic Department and provided legal assistance to two family law firms in Raleigh, North Carolina. Before attending law school, she worked at the Big South Conference as a Public Relations Assistant and served as the primary media contact and NCAA liaison for the Coastal Collegiate Sports Association.
A native of Bermuda Run, North Carolina, Holder earned bachelor’s degrees in exercise and sport science and psychology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where she also worked in athletic communications. She earned her Juris Doctor from Campbell Law School and is a member of the North Carolina State Bar.
Holder and her husband reside in Charlotte, North Carolina.
