Catherine Greene serves as Director of Women’s Basketball for the Atlantic Coast Conference, bringing more than a decade of experience in collegiate basketball operations and administration to the role.
With a career rooted in college basketball and the ACC, Greene brings extensive experience in basketball administration, operations and event management to the Conference.
Prior to joining the ACC, Greene served as Executive Director of Basketball Operations and Chief of Staff for the Tennessee women’s basketball program, where she oversaw team operations, logistics, budgeting and program strategy. She previously held roles with the women’s basketball programs at Georgia Tech and North Carolina.
A native of Gastonia, North Carolina, Greene began her career at her alma mater, the University of North Carolina, where she earned both bachelor’s and master’s degrees and served as a student manager for the Tar Heels’ women’s basketball program. During her time with the program, North Carolina won four ACC Championships and made two NCAA Final Four appearances. Greene began her professional career in event management at UNC, contributing to the planning and execution of numerous NCAA and ACC championship events.
Greene earned a Doctor of Education in Global Sport Leadership from East Tennessee State University and is a member of the Women’s Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA) and Women Leaders in Sports.
