Emily Watkins has worked in collegiate athletics for more than 30 years. She currently serves as Office Manager for the Atlantic Coast Conference, supporting daily office operations, facilities and vendor coordination, employee and visitor services, and a variety of organizational initiatives and events.
Before assuming her current role, Watkins worked in ACC communications, where she edited and designed publications, media guides and promotional materials and supported media relations efforts at Conference championships.
A native of Wake Forest, North Carolina, Watkins earned her bachelor’s degree in journalism and mass communication from the University of North Carolina. She began her athletics career as a student assistant in UNC’s Sports Information Office before joining the ACC staff as a media relations intern.
Outside of work, Watkins enjoys spending time with her family and serving her church as a member of the worship team and a co-leader for a women’s Bible study.
