Jessica Rippey serves as Senior Vice President, Olympic Sports and Senior Woman Administrator for the Atlantic Coast Conference. Reporting directly to the Commissioner and serving on the ACC’s executive staff, she provides strategic and operational leadership for 25 NCAA Division I sports across the Conference’s 18 member institutions, working with campus leaders to advance competitive excellence and the student-athlete experience. Her responsibilities include financial management, revenue generation, staff leadership, regular-season scheduling, Conference championships and officiating administration. She also serves on the ACC/ESPN Business Council, helping establish priorities related to ACC Network audiences, broadcast windows, sponsorship activation and revenue growth.
Central to Rippey’s role is building consensus among institutional leaders and translating membership priorities into policy, bylaw and governance recommendations for ACC athletics directors, the ACC Board of Directors and NCAA oversight committees. She serves as the Conference’s primary liaison to its senior woman administrators and assists the Commissioner with governance meetings involving athletics directors, senior woman administrators, faculty athletics representatives and student-athlete leaders.
Rippey played a leadership role in the integration of California, SMU and Stanford into the ACC, led the implementation of women’s gymnastics as a Conference-sponsored sport and helped establish sport-specific Student-Athlete Advisory Groups to incorporate student-athlete perspectives into Conference decision-making. Nationally, she has represented the ACC on the NCAA Division I Sports Oversight Committee and has served with the NCAA Division I Baseball Umpire Program and regional advisory committees.
Rippey joined the ACC in 2019 as Director of Championships and was elevated to Senior Associate Commissioner and Senior Woman Administrator in 2021 before assuming her current role in 2025. Previously, she spent four years at the University of Virginia, where she managed football, basketball and Olympic sports operations, assisted with capital projects and directed more than 20 ACC and NCAA championship competitions. She also held athletics administration positions at the University of North Carolina and the University of North Carolina Asheville.
A native of Asheville, North Carolina, Rippey earned a bachelor’s degree in kinesiology, magna cum laude, from the University of Tennessee; a master’s degree in sport administration from the University of North Carolina; and an MBA from Florida State University.
