Matt VanSandt serves as the Atlantic Coast Conference’s Director of Olympic Sports, overseeing regular-season and championship administration for field hockey, men’s and women’s swimming & diving, men’s golf and men’s lacrosse. He also serves as event director for the ACC Football Championship Game.
VanSandt joined the ACC after more than a decade with the Big South Conference, where he managed championship operations across numerous sports and supported the Conference’s scheduling, officiating, awards and sport-administration efforts. He also previously served in the Big South’s marketing department.
His experience includes work with the Louisville Sports Commission, the Paul Hornung Award and the University of Wisconsin’s compliance and student-athlete development office.
A native of Roanoke, Virginia, VanSandt earned his bachelor’s degree in business administration and sociology from Augustana College, where he competed in track & field, and master’s degrees in business administration and sports administration from Ohio University.
VanSandt resides in Charlotte with his wife, Becky, and their son, Logan.
