Michael Strickland

Michael Strickland is the ACC's Senior Associate Commissioner for Football.  

In that role, he serves as the chief assistant to the Commissioner in overseeing the sport of football, supervises the Conference’s football operations personnel and acts as the Conference’s liaison to the head football coaches and their staffs, including football administrators and athletic directors for football matters. In addition, he assists the Commissioner with all issues related to football television and is the Conference’s liaison to national football organizations such as AFCA, NFF, FBA, NCAA Football and USA Football. Strickland oversees institutional regular-season game management for ACC Football as it relates to Conference policy and develops the annual Conference football schedule.

Strickland, who began with the ACC in 2013, oversees the ACC Football Championship Game, ancillary events, and business operations of the event. He also supervises the management and coordination of the ACC’s Game Day Operations Center (GDOC) and Collaborative Instant Replay process. Strickland negotiates contracts and serve as the league's liaison to its bowl partners. 

Strickland, who began at the ACC in 2013, prevously worked at Florida Citrus Sports from 2004-13 in Orlando, Florida.

Strickland earned M.B.A. and M.S.A degrees from Ohio University in 2004.
