Taylor Koenen serves as Manager of Men’s and Women’s Basketball for the Atlantic Coast Conference. She began her career at the ACC as an Olympic Sports Intern before transitioning to basketball operations.
In her current role, Koenen supports the planning and execution of the ACC Men’s and Women’s Basketball Championships and assists with regular-season basketball operations across the Conference’s 18 member institutions. Her responsibilities include coordinating championship logistics, managing the Conference’s partnership with Gatorade across all ACC Championships, serving as the primary Conference office liaison for ACC women’s basketball video coordinators, and collaborating with member institutions, television partners and key event stakeholders to enhance the student-athlete and gameday experience. She also leads the ACC’s bench technology standardization efforts for men’s and women’s basketball.
Prior to beginning her career in athletics administration, Koenen was selected as one of three ACC student-athlete representatives to serve on the NCAA Autonomy Committee. In that role, she collaborated with Division I administrators and voted on NCAA legislation related to amateurism, recruiting, financial aid, benefits and student-athlete well-being.
A graduate of the University of North Carolina’s Kenan-Flagler Business School, Koenen was a member of the Tar Heels’ women’s basketball program and served as the team’s sole captain one season. She was also the recipient of UNC’s Leader of Distinction Award and went on to play professionally overseas for three years.
A native of Savage, Minnesota, Koenen was inducted into the Shakopee High School Athletic Hall of Fame in 2022.
