Matt Burgemeister joined the ACC Office in 2012 and serves as the Associate Commissioner of Compliance & Governance. He is the primary contact for institutional personnel about NCAA legislation, interpretations, and governance activities, and supports ACC governance groups. He also maintains the ACC Manual.
Prior to arriving at the ACC, Burgemesiter was the Assistant Commissioner for Compliance & Governance at the Western Athletic Conference from 2010-12. He also worked with the NCAA Academic & Membership Affairs from 2006-10.
A native of American Falls, Idaho, Burgemeister earned a bachelor's degree in Economics and Political Science from the University of Utah in 2004 and a Master's in Sports Management from the University of Texas in 2006.
Burgemeister and his wife, Melissa have two children, Micah and Macey.
