Scott McBurney joined the conference office in 1996 and serves as the Associate Commissioner of Advanced Media.
McBurney manages internal video distribution to national and local media across the East Coast. He is responsible for overseeing the creation of original content programing and features for both ACC Network and ACC social channels.
Prior to joining the ACC, McBurney spent 13 years as a sports executive producer, responsible for creating original content programing and features at WGHP-TV in Greensboro, North Carolina.
A native of Tryon, North Carolina, McBurney earned his Bachelor of Science in Radio, Television and Film from Northwestern University in 1984. He went on to get his Master of Fine Arts in Broadcasting Cinema at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro in 1986.
McBurney and his wife, Kara, have four children, Wil, Jessie, Liam and Spencer. McBurney is also father to Tres and Lincoln. In his spare time, McBurney enjoys trout fishing and is an Orange Theory Fitness fanatic.
