Brad Hecker joined the ACC Office in 2005 and serves as the Assistant Commissioner for Women's Basketball.  In that role, he is responsible for helping manage all aspects of ACC women's basketball, including the regular-season schedule, acting as a liaison to the national and regional television networks and overseeing the ACC Women's Basketball Tournament. 

Prior to arriving at the ACC, Hecker was an Assistant Athletic Director at Campbell University from 2002-05 and the Athletic Director at the Jewish Community Center of New Orleans from 2000-02. 

A native of New Orleans, Hecker attended the University of Georgia where he earned a bachelor's degree in Journalism in 1994.  He later completed his Master's in Sports Manangement from the University of New Orleans in 2000.

An avid cyclist, Hecker authored the proposal that placed Triathlon on the NCAA’s Emerging Sport List. Hecker and his wife, Lisa, reside in Mebane, North Carolina, where he is considered the second best triathlete in the family.
