The ACC led all conferences with14 players drafted
GREENSBORO, N.C. – The Atlantic Coast Conference saw three players picked in the first round and a national-best 14 players selected overall in the 2015 Major League Lacrosse Collegiate Draft in Baltimore, Md., on Friday evening.
Three preseason All-Americans as named by Inside Lacrosse, Duke midfielder Will Haus, Virginia midfielder Ryan Tucker and Notre Dame midfielder Jack Near, each were first round selections. Haus was the third overall pick by the Charlotte Hounds, Tucker followed at No. 4 to the Boston Cannons and Near rounded out the ACC’s first round draftees as he was selected with the seventh pick by the Rochester Rattlers.
All five ACC schools saw at least on player drafted led by Syracuse with five draftees, North Carolina and Notre Dame followed with three selections, Virginia had two draftees and Duke with one.
