GREENSBORO, N.C. (theACC.com) – Boston College sophomore middle blocker Gabby McCaa and Pitt senior right side hitter Chinaza Ndee have been named the Atlantic Coast Conference Volleyball Co-Players of the Week, and Clemson outside hitter Camryn Hannah and Syracuse defensive specialist Lauren Hogan have been selected as the Co-Freshmen of the Week.
In a 2-0 weekend for the Eagles, McCaa hit .448 with 17 kills. The sophomore from Minneapolis, Minnesota, totaled 10 blocks and three service aces on the week. McCaa tallied a season-high 10 kills on a .529 attack rate Friday versus Miami to go with seven blocks and added seven kills and three blocks in a sweep of Virginia Tech.
Ndee helped the Panthers to an undefeated week, including a 3-1 win over No. 25 Florida State (March 26) and sweeps of rival West Virginia (March 24) and North Carolina (March 28). The Houston, Texas, senior led the Panthers with 3.50 kills per set and totaled 35 kills over 10 sets played in three matches. Ndee hit .394 and recorded eight total blocks on the week.
In Clemson’s lone match against Notre Dame, Hannah posted a match-high 22 kills on 50 swings to hit .340. The rookie from Lansing, Illinois, also posted a double-double with 11 digs.
Hogan was key in Syracuse’s wins over Wake Forest (3-0) and Duke (3-2). The freshman from Loveland, Ohio, averaged 5.5 digs per set, racking up 44 on the week. She also had seven assists, an ace and even added a kill.
