BROCKPORT, N.Y. - Boston College junior goalkeeper Jonna Kennedy, and Stanford senior forward Corinne Zanolli, have been named this week’s
Play Safe Turf & Track/NFHCA Division I Defensive and Offensive Players of the Week respectively.
Kennedy made a career-high 21 saves as Boston College beat No. 8 Syracuse for a 2-1 ACC win in double-overtime on Friday. Her 21 saves were the third-highest single-game total in BC program history and came two days after Kennedy played 45 minutes in a 5-0 win at University of Massachusetts, Amherst, helping the Eagles to their fourth shutout of the spring season.
Kennedy was named Atlantic Coast Conference Defensive Player of the Week on Tuesday. This is Kennedy’s second NFHCA Defensive Player of the Week honor this season.
