DURHAM, N.C. (theACC.com) – The 2022 Atlantic Coast Conference Men’s and Women’s Outdoor Track & Field Championships are set Thursday through Saturday at Duke University’s Morris Williams Stadium.
This marks the 11th year that Duke will serve as the host school for the event and the first time since 2011.

Expanded coverage of the ACC Men’s and Women’s Outdoor Track & Field will be carried each day via ACC Network Extra as follows: Thursday from noon until 9 p.m., Friday from 11 a.m. through 9 p.m., and Saturday from 3 p.m. until the championship’s conclusion at approximately 9 p.m. Veteran ESPN announcer Shawn Kenny will again be handling play-by-play, while former Duke head coach Norm Ogilvie returns on color commentary.Please see below for Watch Links to each session's Live Stream.
ACC Network will re-air Saturday’s finals on Sunday, beginning at 8 a.m., and Monday, beginning at 1 p.m.

Competition begins Thursday at 10:30 a.m. with the men’s hammer throw, which will be followed by finals in the women’s hammer, the men’s and women’s long jump, and the women’s pole vault and javelin. Opening men’s decathlon and women’s heptathlon events are also scheduled for Thursday afternoon.
Prelims are set for early Thursday evening in three men’s and women’s running events, followed by the women’s 10,000-meter final at 8 p.m. and the men’s 10,000m at 8:40.
A full slate of events and preliminaries continues Friday and Saturday, with finals in 20 running events and four field events wrapping up the Championships on Saturday from 3 until 9 p.m.
Florida State’s men enter this year as defending champions after claiming the team title at NC State in 2021. FSU and Duke tied for the women’s outdoor title a year ago
The host Virginia Tech men won the most recent ACC Indoor Championship this past February in Blacksburg, with the women’s Championship again ending in a tie, this time between Virginia Tech and Duke.
Five ACC student-athletes will enter the ACC Championships having set conference records this season in their respective events. Florida State’s Adriaan Wildschutt bettered his own record time in the men’s 10,000 meters with his recent run of 27:38.54 at the Payton Jordan Invitational. Two Virginia throwers own ACC record marks following Ethan Dabbs’ javelin toss of 80.41 meters (263’10”) and Claudio Romero’s discus throw of 67.02 meters (219’10”).
On the women’s side, NC State’s Katelyn Tuohy set a blazing 15:41.61 ACC-record time in the 5,000 meters, while North Carolina’s Jill Shippee bettered her own conference mark with a hammer throw of 69.76 meters (228’10’’).
In addition to Wildschutt and Tuohy, Florida State’s Trey Cunningham will enter the ACC Championship leading the nation in his event after posting a men’s 110-meters hurdles time of 13.10 that stands as the fourth-fastest in NCAA history.
The No. 17 Florida State men continue to lead all ACC men's teams in the current USTFCCCA national rankings, and Virginia checks in this week at No. 24. The women’s rankings also include a pair of top-25 teams in No. 14 NC State and No. 23 Duke.
North Carolina has won a conference-best 14 ACC Women’s Outdoor Track & Field Championships, ahead of Clemson’s seven and Florida State with six. On the men’s side, Florida State leads with 13 team titles, followed by Clemson with 11.
Florida State’s Bob Braman leads all active coaches with 11 ACC men’s outdoor championships. NC State’s Rollie Geiger owns five, and Virginia Tech’s Dave Cianelli has claimed four, including three in the last five meets.
Braman leads active ACC coaches in women’s championships with five. Cianelli and Miami’s Amy have led their women’s teams to three ACC outdoor titles each, and Clemson’s Mark Elliott and Duke’s Shawn Wilbourn each own one women’s title.
