CHARLOTTE, N.C. (theACC.com) – Florida State junior Lottie Woad and Wake Forest senior Carolina Chacarra have been named the Atlantic Coast Conference Women’s Co-Golfers of the Month for October.
Woad posted a pair of top-3 finishes last month, headlined by her fourth career individual collegiate title as she tied for medalist honors at the Landfall Tradition at the Country Club of Landfall's Pete Dye Course in Wilmington, North Carolina. With the individual title, Woad led the Seminoles to their first team title of the 2024-25 season.
The native of Farnham, England, posted a three-round score of 210 (-6) at the Landfall Tradition, headlined by a first-round 65, which tied the lowest score in program history. With the win, Woad continues to lead the World Amateur Golf Rankings as the world’s top amateur player.
Prior to the win in Wilmington, Woad claimed a third-place finish at the Jackson T. Stephens Cup in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. The junior improved in every round of the event, closing the three-round event with an even-par 70.
Chacarra posted three top-five finishes in October, highlighted by winning the individual title at the Jackson T. Stephens Cup. In addition to the medalist honor, the Madrid, Spain, native finished second at the Ruth’s Chris Intercollegiate and tied for fourth at the Charles Schwab Collegiate where she led the Demon Deacons to their first team victory of 2024-25.
At the Stephens Cup, Chacarra was the only player in the field to finish under par and won the event by four strokes, as she carded a 206 (-4) for the three-round event. Over the 54 holes, Chacarra led the field in scoring on par threes, fours and fives and recorded the most birdies with 10.
Prior to the Stephens Cup, the senior finished alone in second place with a 2-under 208 at the Ruth’s Chris Intercollegiate, as she led all players in scoring on par threes and led Wake Forest in scoring on par fives. At the Charles Schwab Collegiate, Chacarra tied for fourth with a 1-under 212.
