CHARLOTTE, N.C. (theACC.com) – The 2024 ACC Men’s Soccer Championship kicked off Wednesday, November 6, with seven matches. California, Clemson, Duke, SMU, Stanford, Virginia and Wake Forest scored first-round victories to advance to the quarterfinal round on Sunday, November 10. Cal scored the upset of the day, as the No. 11 seed Golden Bears rallied for a 2-1 win at No. 6 seed North Carolina.
 
Five of the seven matches were determined by one goal in an intense day of action. The day was capped by a wild finish as Notre Dame and Stanford traded goals in the final 12 seconds, with the Fighting Irish tying the game with 12 seconds left on a deflected free kick and the Cardinal responding with a goal from just past midfield with two seconds remaining for a 3-2 win.
 
ACC Network will broadcast all four quarterfinal matches on Sunday, beginning at 2 p.m. ET with No. 7 seed Stanford at No. 2 seed Clemson. No. 4 seed SMU plays host to No. 5 seed Wake Forest at 4 p.m. ET, followed by No. 11 seed California at No. 3 seed Duke at 6 p.m. ET. Coming off a first-round bye, top-seeded Pitt plays in the nightcap when it entertains No. 9 seed Virginia at 8 p.m. ET.
 
The semifinals will be played Thursday, Nov. 14, at WakeMed Soccer Park in Cary, North Carolina, with the matches airing on ACC Network at 5:30 and 8 p.m. ET. The championship match will be broadcast from WakeMed Soccer Park on ESPNU on Sunday, November 17, at noon ET.
 
Tickets are on sale now for the semifinals and championship match at WakeMed Soccer Park and can be purchased HERE. For the first time, a Champions Package is available for purchase for $40 and includes tickets to all six ACC Women’s and Men’s matches. Single-game tickets for the semifinal matches are $10 in advance and $15 on gameday, while championship game tickets are $15 in advance and $20 on gameday. ACC students are admitted for free with a valid school ID.
