CHARLOTTE, N.C. (theACC.com) – After posting a pair of victories at the ACC/BIG 10/Ivy Duals last week, Syracuse’s Second Varsity Eight has been named the Atlantic Coast Conference Crew of the Week.
The ‘Cuse 2V8 opened the first session claiming first place in a four-boat heat. Syracuse crossed the line at 6:57.3, four seconds faster than second-place Penn (7:01.6). Indiana (7:03.5) finished third, while Harvard-Radcliffe (7:08.3) earned fourth.
To close out the second session, the Orange 2V8 raced past Ohio State and finished at 7:07.5, more than four seconds ahead of the Buckeyes.
As a team, 12th-ranked Syracuse won six races at the ACC/BIG 10/Ivy Duals, which featured five nationally ranked teams.
