ACC Issues Public Reprimand for Actions by Boston College’s Interdonato

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (theACC.com) – The Atlantic Coast Conference issued a public reprimand of Boston College’s Baseball coach Todd Interdonato for failing to properly administer and enforce NCAA suspension penalties.

Per NCAA rules, a pitcher who is ejected during a game is ineligible to play in the next four consecutive games. Boston College failed to adhere to this rule by having the pitcher play after sitting out only one game. The pitcher will resume serving the penalty by not participating in the next three consecutive games.

Finally, the ACC supports the decision by Boston College to suspend its head baseball coach for today’s game and considers this matter closed and will have no further comment.
