CHARLOTTE, N.C. (theACC.com) – The Atlantic Coast Conference and D1Baseball are excited to announce the launch of ACC Extra. ACC Extra will feature exclusive analysis and columns highlighting ACC Baseball throughout the 2025 season. ACC Extra will go live on D1Baseball’s website on Tuesday, January 21.
The ACC Extra team will be led by Bradley Smart. The founder of Friday Starters, Smart has also contributed to college coverage for
Baseball America. He will join the D1Baseball staff in 2025 and will lead ACC coverage throughout the season. Smart will be joined by Aaron Fitt, Walter Villa, Shotgun Spratling, Joe Healy and Eric Sorenson in providing in depth coverage of all 16 ACC Baseball programs.
D1Baseball will continue its weekly ACC-focused live show and podcast called
ACC Baseball Etc., which is hosted by Daron Vaught and 11-year MLB veteran, two-time National League All-Star and former Miami Hurricanes pitcher Danny Graves. The show will focus on the most recent ACC baseball storylines, while also having the occasional interview with ACC players, coaches and personalities.
The preseason will be chock-full of dedicated ACC coverage. There will be a full breakdown for all 16 teams, including newcomers California and Stanford, including a season outlook, projected line-up/rotation, players to watch, top prospects, and much more! In addition, the D1Baseball staff will be naming a preseason All-ACC team, complete with preseason predictions for Player of the Year, Freshman of the Year, and Coach of the Year.
