CHARLOTTE, N.C. (theACC.com) - Week Two of the 2025 Atlantic Coast Conference Gymnastics season kicks off with all six conference programs in action on Friday and Saturday, January 10-11.
California, Clemson and NC State will head to Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, this weekend to compete in the second annual Sprouts Farmers Market Collegiate quad event. NC State and Clemson will hit the mats against No. 13 Michigan and No. 14 Arizona on Friday, while Cal goes up against No. 1 Oklahoma, No. 2 LSU and No. 4 Utah on Saturday.
Cal and NC State opened up their season last weekend, both starting the season with wins. The Golden Bears earned 196.275 points last Saturday, January 4, to take home a pair of wins over Oregon State and UCLA. The Wolfpack set a program record for their highest season-opening score with 195.835 points to defeat Towson.
Clemson was tabbed fourth in the ACC Preseason Coaches Poll. The Tigers return grad student Rebecca Wells and redshirt senior Eve Jackson, who were named to the ACC Preseason Watchlist. Joining her new teammates is Hannah Clark, who was named to the ACC Newcomer Watch List.
Stanford will make its ACC Gymnastics debut on Friday, as the Cardinal travel to Seattle, Washington, for a quad meet against Washington, Boise State and UC Davis. In the 2025 ACC Preseason Coaches Poll, Stanford was picked to finish second in the conference. 2024 NCAA vault champion junior Anna Roberts and senior Brenna Neault were named to the ACC Preseason Watch List, along with freshman Ui Soma, who was named to the ACC Newcomer Watch List.
North Carolina heads to Tuscaloosa, Alabama, for a meet against the Crimson Tide. Among the Tar Heel roster are seniors Lali Dekanoidze and Julia Knower, who were named to the ACC Preseason Watch List for the second year in a row, and JoJo Valahovic, who was named to the ACC Newcomer Watch List.
Pitt kicks off the season in Battle Creek, Michigan, on Saturday at the Western Michigan Next Level Gymnastics Podium Challenge. The Panthers will face Western Michigan, George Washington and Illinois State. The ACC Preseason Watch List included Pitt’s Jah’Liyah Bedminster and Hallie Copperwheat, along with Meika Lee, who was named to the Newcomer Watch List.

Noting ACC Gymnastics
- California (No. 6) and NC State (No. 8) were ranked in the Week One Road to Nationals poll.
- Five of the six ACC gymnastics programs were named to the WCGA Preseason Rankings, headlined by Cal at No. 4. Stanford landed at No.15, NC State at No. 25, Clemson at No. 28 and North Carolina at No. 36. Pitt received votes.
- The ACC released the 2025 Preseason Watch List which features 12 gymnasts as nominated by the league’s six gymnastics programs, along with the Newcomer List, featuring one true freshman from each program.
- Cal and Stanford are in their first season in ACC Gymnastics after joining the conference on August 2, 2024. The Golden Bears were the national runner-up at the 2024 NCAA Championships, while Stanford was an NCAA Championships qualifier.
- ACC women's gymnastics will be featured on ACC Network and ESPN throughout the season, including the 2025 ACC Gymnastics Championships on Saturday, March 22, at First Horizon Coliseum in Greensboro, North Carolina
- The ACC announced in 2021 that women’s gymnastics would become the league’s 28th sponsored sport beginning with the 2023-24 academic year. The ACC previously sponsored a conference championship in women’s gymnastics in 1984.
- NC State comes into the 2025 season off its sixth straight and 33rd overall NCAA appearance. The 2024 Wolfpack squad recorded four scores of 197+ last season, marking the highest scores in program history.
