Five ACC Quarterbacks Named to 2025 Davey 0’Brien QB Class

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (theACC.com) – The Atlantic Coast Conference continues to prove it’s a quarterback conference. Five standout ACC signal-callers have been named to the Davey O’Brien QB Class of 2025, as announced today by the Davey O’Brien Foundation.

Representing the ACC on this year’s prestigious list are Carson Beck (Miami), Haynes King (Georgia Tech), Darian Mensah (Duke), Chandler Morris (Virginia) and Miller Moss (Louisville) — all now officially in contention for the 2025 Davey O’Brien National Quarterback Award, presented annually to the nation’s best college quarterback.

This year’s QB Class features 36 of college football’s top passers, including 18 seniors, 10 juniors, five sophomores and three freshmen. Fourteen of the players were also members of the 2025 Davey O’Brien Preseason Watch List.

For the fifth consecutive year, fan participation will play a role in determining the Davey O’Brien Award winner. Social media fan voting on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter/X will provide bonus committee votes during the semifinalist, finalist, and winner selection rounds. Fans can vote by liking the official graphic of their favorite quarterback posted by the @daveyobrien accounts. Voting begins immediately following today’s announcement.

The semifinalists from the QB Class will be revealed on Wednesday, November 12, followed by the announcement of the three finalists on Tuesday, November 25. The 2025 Davey O’Brien Award winner will be unveiled live on ESPN on Friday, December 12, during The Home Depot College Football Awards.

Now in its 49th year, the Davey O’Brien National Quarterback Award is the oldest and most prestigious quarterback honor in college football. The winner will be celebrated at the 49th Annual Davey O’Brien Awards Dinner on Monday, February 16, 2026, at The Fort Worth Club in Fort Worth, Texas.
