CHARLOTTE, N.C. (theACC.com) – Four ACC men’s tennis student-athletes – Martin Borisiouck (NC State) and Trevor Svajda (SMU) in singles play and the team of Mans Dahlberg and Dylan Dietrich (Virginia) in doubles action – advanced to the semifinals of the 2025 NCAA Division I Men’s Individual Championships at the USTA National Campus in Orlando, Florida.
The semifinals of the singles championship are slated for Saturday, November 22, and the championship match is set for Sunday, November 23.
This is the second year of a two-year plan for the singles and doubles championships to be conducted in the fall, with the team championships continuing to be held in the spring.
Martin Borisiouck, NC State
- Defeated Spencer Johnson (UCLA) 6-2, 6-7 (4), 7-6 (1) in the Round of 64
- Beat Filip Gustafsson (Arizona) 6-4, 6-3 in the Round of 32
- Beat DK Suresh (Wake Forest) 6-4, 6-1 in the Round of 16
- Defeated Max Dahlin (Michigan) 4-6, 7-5, 6-2 in the Quarterfinals
Trevor Svajda, SMU
- Defeated Jeremy Jin (Florida) 6-1, 4-6, 6-4 in the Round of 64
- Beat Amirkhamza Nasridinov (Auburn) 6-3, 2-6, 6-0 in the Round of 32
- Upset No. 5 seeded Kenta Miyoshi (Illinois) 6-2, 6-4 in the Round of 16
- Beat Petar Jovanovic (Miss. St.) 6-3, 6-2 in the Quarterfinals
Mans Dahlberg & Dylan Dietrich, Virginia
- Beat Johan Alexander Rodriguez and Orel Kimhi (Oklahoma) 6-3, 6-1 in the Round of 32
- Upset No. 1 seeded Benito Sanchez Martinez and Petar Jovanovic (Miss. St.) 6-3, 7-6 (3) in the Round of 16
- Defeated Aidan Kim and Bryce Nakashima (Ohio State) 6-7 (4), 7-6 (5), 10-5 in the Quarterfinals
The ACC men’s tennis players earned 11 ITA All-American honors in either singles or doubles at the 2025 NCAA Singles and Doubles Championships. The complete list of All-American student-athletes will be announced at the conclusion of the 2025-26 season when all criteria have been exhausted.
