LOUISVILLE, Ky. (theACC.com) – Syracuse, the No. 6 seed in the 2025 ACC Field Hockey Championship, defeated No. 3 seed Wake Forest 3-1 on Wednesday afternoon at Trager Stadium in Louisville, Kentucky, to clinch a spot in semifinal round. Duke, North Carolina and Virginia clinched their semifinal berths on Tuesday, November 4.

In the final quarterfinal game of the 2025 ACC Field Hockey Championship, Syracuse’s Aubrey Turner connected on a one-timer from Aiden Drabick, giving the Orange a 1-0 lead midway through the first quarter. Syracuse’s lead would remain 1-0 into the third quarter, when Turner would log her second goal of the contest off an assist by Bo van Kempen.
Mia Schoenbeck, the 2025 ACC Offensive Player of the Year, cut into the Syracuse lead when she got Wake Forest on the scoreboard via a penalty stroke. The Demon Deacons had a strong scoring opportunity on a penalty corner with less than five seconds remaining in the third quarter, but van Kempen recorded a defensive save to hold the Orange’s lead at 2-1.
As time expired in the fourth quarter, Syracuse’s Hattie Madden scored on an open net to finalize the 3-1 win for the Orange.
Syracuse goalkeeper Jessie Eiselin had an outstanding day in the cage, logging a season-high nine saves to help her team advance to the semifinals for the second-straight season.
