CHARLOTTE, N.C. (theACC.com) – Stanford redshirt freshman Tyler Knox was named the Atlantic Coast Conference Wrestler of the Week on Tuesday for matches over February 13-16.
 
Ranked No. 7 overall at 133 pounds in the Intermat NCAA DI rankings last week, Knox was dominant on the mat in Stanford’s three road duals, all on the East Coast, going 3-0 overall and outscoring his opponents 33-1 for the week.
 
On Thursday, February 13, Knox shut out Princeton’s Dan Jones 7-0. The win proved crucial as the Cardinal came from behind to defeat the Tigers by a score of 20-17.
 
The following night in Raleigh, North Carolina, on Friday, February 14, Knox registered a 9-1 major decision over two-time All-American and ACC Champion No. 13 Kai Orine of NC State.
 
He closed out the week on Sunday, February 16, with a dominating 17-0 technical fall victory against Duke's Raymond Adams as Stanford scored a season-high 37 points in a 37-12 road win over the Blue Devils.
 
With his three wins, the Groveland, Massachusetts, native improved to 22-3 overall and 13-1 in duals this season, leading the Cardinal in both wins and dual points.
