CHARLOTTE, N.C. (theACC.com) - In the week nine set of weekly honors for the 2025 Atlantic Coast Conference Gymnastics season, California’s Mya Lauzon was named the ACC Gymnast of the Week. Clemson’s Brie Clark was tabbed the ACC Specialist of the Week, while California’s Mya Wiley was named the ACC Newcomer of the Week.
California’s Lauzon was named the ACC Gymnast of the Week for the fifth time this season. The senior helped lead the Golden Bears to an ACC Regular Season Championship title last weekend after four scores of a 9.90+, including a 9.950 in floor, and a first-place finish in the all-around (39.675). In floor, Lauzon ranks fifth in the nation in both NQS (9.950) and average (9.939) and is tied for first in the nation with a high of 10.000. She leads the conference in beam (9.905 NQS), floor (9.950 NQS) and all-around (39.600 NQS).
Clemson’s Clark was named ACC Specialist of the Week after making history on Friday, February 28. In her floor routine, Clark became the first collegiate gymnast to ever successfully land the “Biles I element”, a double layout with a half twist in the second flip, on floor. The redshirt junior out of Daphne, Alabama, earned a 9.800 for her routine after a .100 deduction for stepping out of bounds on the landing. Clark also took first place in beam with a 9.875 to help lead the Tigers to wins over Texas Woman’s and New Hampshire on the weekend.
Wiley was named ACC Newcomer of the Week for the first time this season. The Cal freshman hit a career-high 9.900 to tie for second in vault as the anchor of the lineup. The Silverdale, Washington, native helped lead the Golden Bears to their first regular-season conference title in their first season as a member of the ACC.
