CHARLOTTE, N.C. (theACC.com) - The 2025 Atlantic Coast Conference cross country season will continue Friday, September 5, with two teams competing. With each team making their season debut, Boston College will host Harvard for a dual meet in Chestnut Hill, Massachusetts, and Virginia Tech will host the Virginia Tech Invitational in Blacksburg, Virginia.
The Hokies will compete on their home course, Buford Meredith Cross Country Course, with the women’s 4K beginning at 6 p.m. ET, followed by the men’s 6K at 6:30 p.m. ET. In the ACC women’s preseason poll, voted on by the league’s 18 head coaches, Virginia Tech was ranked 13th with 108 points. The ACC men’s preseason poll ranked the Hokies seventh, with 176 points.
Boston College will make its 2025 debut, hosting Harvard at the Chestnut Hill Reservoir. In the ACC women’s preseason poll, Boston College ranked sixth with 212 points, while the men tied with Pitt for the 14th ranking in the men’s category. The Boston College women appeared in the USTFCCCA preseason coach’s poll, ranked No. 26 in the nation.

Leading the nation in both the men’s and women’s USTFCCCA preseason coaches’ polls, nine women’s teams from the ACC appear in the organization’s top 30, led by No. 3 NC State. Additionally, the ACC has six men’s teams that ranked in the preseason poll.
