CHARLOTTE, N.C. (theACC.com) – Georgia Tech freshman Max Emberson has been named the Atlantic Coast Conference Men’s Golfer of the Month for September.

Max Emberson, Fr., Georgia Tech (Thousand Oaks, California)

• Took home two medalist honors in the first month of his collegiate career.
• Won the individual title and led Georgia Tech to the team title at the Folds of Honor Collegiate.
• Shot 11-under (202) and won the event by two strokes.
• Shared medalist honors at the OFCC/Fighting Illini Invitational, shooting 13-under (197).
• Became the first freshman in program history to win each of his first two tournaments.

ACC Men’s Golf Notes

• Four ACC teams are ranked in the Bushnell/Golfweek Division I Coaches Poll: No. 9 Georgia Tech, No. 14 North Carolina, No. 16 Notre Dame and No. 20 Stanford. Four more ACC teams are receiving votes.
• Five ACC standouts were named to the Preseason Haskins Award Watch List:
