CHARLOTTE, N.C. (theACC.com) - In the third set of weekly honors for the 2026 Atlantic Coast Conference Softball season, North Carolina’s Emily LeGette was named the ACC Player of the Week, while Georgia Tech’s Madalyn Johnson was named the ACC Pitcher of the Week. Additionally, Boston College’s Kae DePerio was named the ACC Freshman of the Week.
ACC Player of the Week
Emily LeGette, North Carolina, Jr. (Fort Lauderdale, Florida)
- Finished 11-for-18 at the plate (.611), including a perfect 3-for-3 game in a doubleheader against NC Central on February 19.
- Recorded 14 RBIs, nine runs and three doubles.
- Registered five home runs, including a grand slam against NC Central and a walk-off two-run home run against Appalachian State.
- Posted a 1.611 slugging percentage.
- Defensively, posted a 1.000 fielding percentage.
ACC Pitcher of the Week
Madalyn Johnson, Georgia Tech, So. (Powhatan, Virginia)
- Went 3-0 on the week, including two complete games and two shutouts.
- Threw a total of 15.0 innings in three games, while striking out 15 batters at the plate.
- Recorded a 0.00 ERA across three appearances.
ACC Freshman of the Week
Kae DePerio, Boston College, Fr. (Lathrop, California)
- Hit .750 (12-for-16) in the leadoff position.
- Went a perfect 3-for-3 (1.000) at the plate in three different games last week.
- Registered 10 runs and a triple, while also walking five times for an .810 on-base percentage.
- Defensively, recorded a 1.000 fielding percentage with 11 assists and six putouts.
