CHARLOTTE, N.C. (theACC.com) - Duke's Aminah Vega headlines the 2026 Softball All-ACC Academic Team as the 2026 ACC Softball Scholar-Athlete of the Year, the league announced on Tuesday.

Vega started all 60 games at second base this season for the Blue Devils and ranks second in program history with 301 career hits. She earned NFCA First Team All-America honors after leading Duke in batting average (.462), runs scored (87), doubles (21), triples (5) and total bases (174) during her senior season and is the first Blue Devil in program history to earn NFCA All-America honors twice. The DeBary, Florida, native had a historical season for the Blue Devils, closing out the year with a program-record 67 career doubles and a single-season record with 21. Vega also became Duke's all-time home runs leader during the NCAA Super Regional at Arkansas, hitting her 55th career homer to break Ana Gold's previous record of 54. She is the first player in program history to earn NFCA All-Region and All-ACC First Team honors in each of her four seasons.

ACC Softball had 146 student-athletes representing all 15 softball programs on the 2026 All-ACC Academic Team, headlined by Louisville with 14 student-athletes. Twenty-eight athletes who earned All-ACC first, second, third or All-Freshman Team honors this season also secured spots on the academic team, highlighted by two yearly award winners in ACC Pitcher of the Year Jazzy Francik and ACC Player and Defensive Player of the Year Isa Torres of Florida State.

Academic requirements for selection to the All-ACC Academic Team include a 3.0 grade point average for the previous two semesters, a 3.0 cumulative average during one’s academic career, has to have been enrolled at the institution for at least one year and the student must be classified as an undergraduate student. In addition, student-athletes must compete in at least 50 percent of their team’s athletic contests.
