CHARLOTTE, N.C. (theACC.com) - Stanford, the 2026 Atlantic Coast Conference Gymnastics Regular-Season Champion, earned the No. 1 seed in the upcoming ACC Gymnastics Championship set for Saturday, March 21, the league announced on Monday. California followed in second, Clemson in third and NC State in fourth, while North Carolina and Pitt rounded out the seeding at No. 5 and No. 6, respectively.
This year’s championship will be split into two sessions with No. 5 North Carolina and No. 6 Pitt competing in a dual-meet format at 2:30 p.m. ET. No. 1 Stanford, No. 2 California, No. 3 Clemson and No. 4 NC State will compete in a quad-meet format at 7 p.m. ET. Both sessions will air live on the ACC Network.
Seedings are based on the National Qualifying Scores (NQS), which is based on a team's and an all-around competitor's six best regular-season-meet scores, of which three must be away. Out of those six, the highest score is eliminated and the remaining five scores are averaged. The NQS will also determine the seeds for the NCAA Gymnastics Regional competition.
Five of the six ACC teams are ranked in the Road to Nationals Top 30, led by Stanford at No. 7. California sits at No. 14, Clemson at No. 15, NC State at No. 20 and North Carolina at No. 22. These rankings are based on the final NQS of the regular season.
