CHARLOTTE, N.C. (theACC.com) – The 2026 Atlantic Coast Conference Rowing spring season ramps up this weekend, beginning on Friday, March 27, with several ACC schools in action for the first time in 2026.
This weekend’s schedule is headlined by the Sarasota 2K at Nathan Benderson Park in Sarasota, Florida, which will host five ACC schools. The regatta features a 2,000-meter sprint with several prominent Division I women’s programs.
Also hosting multiple teams this weekend is the Doc Hosea Invitational, as Syracuse and Virginia will trek to Cooper River in Cherry Hill, New Jersey. Joining the Orange and Cavaliers will be Northeastern, Penn, Rutgers and Yale.
Defending national champions Stanford also kicks off its spring slate with a trip to Oak Ridge, Tennessee, to square off with Tennessee.

ACC Notes
- A nation-best eight ACC teams earned spots in the latest Pocock Collegiate Rowing Coaches Association (CRCA) Coaches Poll, released on March 24, led by defending national champion Stanford at No. 1. Following the Cardinal were No. 9 Virginia, No. 10 California, No. 12 Syracuse, No. 17 Duke, No. 18 Miami, No. 20 North Carolina and No. 25 Clemson.
- The Boston College Varsity Four was named the latest ACC Crew of the Week for its performance at last week’s Gummy Bear Bowl against Boston University, announced by the conference on Tuesday, March 24.
- The ACC announced its second annual Rowing Watch List on February 25, consisting of one student-athlete from each ACC school. Duke’s Lena Mills became the second rower in league history to make the Preseason Watch List twice.
- Last season, in its first ACC Rowing Championship, Stanford took home the conference title, setting Grand-Final record times in each event. The Cardinal went on to claim the league’s third rowing national championship all-time.
- The 2026 ACC Rowing Championship, set for May 15-16, returns to Lake Wheeler in Raleigh, North Carolina, for the third time in four years.
