CHARLOTTE, N.C. (theACC.com) – After three weeks of non-conference play, 10 Atlantic Coast Conference Baseball teams will open conference games this weekend. ACC play will once again feature 30 games throughout the slate, concluding with the 2026 ACC Baseball Championship in Charlotte, North Carolina, from May 19-24.
Fifth-ranked Georgia Tech will host Virginia Tech, beginning on Friday, March 5, at 4 p.m. ET. The Yellow Jackets enter the series with a 12-1 record and lead the nation in several offensive categories, including batting average (.410), on-base percentage (.535), hits (192), runs (178) and doubles (43).
North Carolina, ranked eighth nationally, will host Virginia for a three-game series, while No. 15 Wake Forest hosts Stanford and No. 24 Miami welcomes Boston College in other conference series involving ranked squads. Notre Dame will travel to Durham, North Carolina, as it opens ACC play against Duke. The two teams will get underway at 5 p.m. ET on Friday on ACC Network Extra.
In non-conference play, No. 13 NC State will host Lafayette, while No. 14 Clemson will take on La Salle in a four-game set, including a Saturday doubleheader. Florida State, ranked No. 20 in the nation, will welcome Northern Kentucky to Tallahassee, Florida. California will host San Diego for three games, while Pitt will take on San José State in the Golden State.
Five teams in the ACC – Clemson, Georgia Tech, North Carolina, NC State and Wake Forest – begin the weekend with just one loss on the season. After dropping its season opener, Wake Forest has won 12 straight games, which is tied for the second-longest winning streak in the country.
